With the arrival of spring, the Lido of Venice is preparing to rediscover one of its most beloved rhythms, that of days marked by sunshine, sea breezes and the gentle flow of people along the shoreline.

The beaches managed by Venezia Spiagge are officially reopening and, with them, the atmosphere that each year guides residents and visitors toward the brightest season returns. The dates are set and mark the beginning of a new summer chapter: Bluemoon will welcome its first guests starting April 18, Bluepool will open on May 16, and the Lungomare and San Nicolò beach establishments will become operational again from May 22.

The Lido has always been Venice’s seaside face, a place where the lagoon dimension meets the open horizon of the Adriatic and where Liberty elegance coexists with the simplicity of a walk on the sand. Each reopening is not merely an operational moment but a true collective ritual marking the transition from winter to life outdoors. The profile of the beach huts, the sound of the waves and the light reflecting on the golden stretch of sand once again become the protagonists of a landscape that is part of the very identity of the territory.

Bluemoon beach, the first to inaugurate the season on April 18, is one of the symbols of the Lido. Located in a central and easily accessible position, it represents a reference point for those wishing to enjoy the sea just minutes from the heart of the lagoon. Here the beach stretches wide and orderly, with services designed to welcome families, athletes and those simply seeking relaxation. Opening earlier than the other establishments makes it possible to enjoy the milder spring days, when the sun warms gently and the sea retains a special calm.

From May 16 Bluepool, the swimming pool located within the Bluemoon area, will also come into operation. This reopening further expands the offering, providing an ideal alternative for those who love the water but prefer a more intimate and controlled setting, also suitable for younger guests. The presence of the pool adds value to the seaside experience, making the area even more versatile and inclusive. As summer approaches, Bluepool becomes a gathering place that combines relaxation, activity and social interaction.

On May 22 it will be the turn of the Lungomare and San Nicolò beach establishments, ready to welcome guests and regular visitors. The Lido Lungomare, with its long promenade overlooking the sea, is one of the island’s most iconic sights. Here the beach blends with the historic architecture of the hotels and the greenery framing the coastline, creating a harmonious balance between nature and urban life. The San Nicolò area, more secluded and immersed in a fascinating natural setting, offers a different, almost suspended atmosphere, ideal for those seeking tranquility and wider spaces. In both areas, the organization and quality of services reflect Venezia Spiagge’s commitment to ensuring hospitality, safety and attention to detail.

Alongside the structures managed by Venezia Spiagge, other historic establishments on the Lido are also preparing for the new season, further enriching the island’s seaside offering. The CAPLI beach establishment will reopen on May 16 and continue the summer season until September 13, confirming its position as a well-established destination for those seeking a welcoming and well-kept environment. Shortly after, on May 20, the renowned Hotel Des Bains 1900 will also reopen its beach establishment, operating until September 20. The reopening of Des Bains 1900 recalls the historical memory and elegance that made the Lido an iconic international tourist destination, adding another element to the 2026 summer season.

The beaches of the Lido are not merely a holiday destination but a space lived daily by the local community. During the summer months they become the setting for gatherings, sports activities, relaxation and initiatives for all ages. The sand fills from early morning with those who enjoy walking along the shore, while in the central hours of the day it comes alive with families, groups of friends and children playing between umbrellas and the waterline. At sunset, warm light transforms the landscape into a striking scene, giving sea and sky shades that make each day unique.

The reopening also represents an important signal for the economy and for the entire social fabric of the Lido. The beaches are an integral part of Venice’s tourist offering and contribute significantly to the island’s vitality. Their organization requires a complex operational structure, involving space preparation, maintenance, set-ups and service planning. Each season is approached with the aim of combining tradition and innovation, preserving the historical bond with the Lido while responding to new demands for sustainability, quality and comfort.

With these openings, the Lido of Venice is once again preparing to become a key player of the warm season. The calendar set between April and May gradually leads into summer, offering residents and visitors the opportunity to reconnect with the sea, the sand and the open Adriatic horizon. From the facilities managed by Venezia Spiagge to historic establishments such as CAPLI and Des Bains 1900, the island once again presents a mosaic of experiences capable of meeting diverse expectations, united by the same backdrop of light and sea.

In the renewal of this annual appointment lies the very essence of the Lido, a beach that is part of the city yet at the same time represents a short and immediate escape, a place where crossing the lagoon is enough to feel elsewhere. The dates are official, the wait is over, and with the reopening of Bluemoon, Bluepool, Lungomare, San Nicolò, CAPLI and Des Bains 1900 the Lido of Venice returns to offer its sea horizon, ready to welcome a new summer.
