THE ASSOCIAZIONE REMIERA PELLESTRINA ROWING ASSOCIATION WAS FOUNDED IN 1985, THANKS TO THE DETERMINATION OF A FEW PEOPLE AND CURRENT MEMBERS WHO LOVE ROWING THE VENETIAN WAY.

It counts among its members many rowers who take part in the most important regattas, including the Regata Storica, which is held on the first Sunday in September.
The association has a swimming pool at its disposal, which is used both for training experts and beginners to learn the first principles of rowing, how to set up the rowlocks, how to position the legs, etc.
The society, through collaboration with a number of schools, has enabled young people to discover and learn as much as possible about Venetian-style rowing. Thanks to experienced coaches, participants first take a course in the training pool and then continue their practice with a tour of the lagoon.
They also collaborate with the island’s various celebrations committees and, in particular, with that of the Madonna dell’Apparizione in setting up and organising the various regattas.
