The Lido meets Turkey. This is the title of the event series conceived by Guglielmo Serafini under the aegis of the Pro Loco of Lido di Venezia and Pellestrina, VELA of the Municipality of Venice, and sponsored by the Consorzio Venezia e il suo Lido.
This is the 5th edition of the biennial series dedicated to encounters between cultures that have intersected over the centuries with Venetian culture.
This year’s edition, dedicated to Turkish culture, will begin on March 3 and conclude on October 29—months rich in events and inspiration, highlighting the millennia-old connections between Venice and present-day Turkey, from Byzantium to Constantinople, now the magnificent Istanbul.
