“Libri al Borgo” at Relais Alberti in Malamocco
On September 12, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., Relais Alberti in Malamocco will host the first appointment of the “Libri al Borgo” series. The evening will feature the book by Franco Tagliapietra, The Courageous Art at the Lido of Venice. Painters, Exhibitions, Palaces 1908–1934, published by the Lido-based El Squero. Tagliapietra, an art historian of contemporary art, professor at the Academies of Venice and Milan Brera, essayist and curator of exhibitions, reconstructs a surprising yet long-forgotten season: the art exhibitions that animated the Lido of Venice between 1908 and 1934. In conversation with the author will be Amerigo Restucci, architect and architectural historian, former Rector of IUAV and an internationally renowned figure.

 

Venice Glass Week
The ninth edition of The Venice Glass Week, the international festival dedicated to artistic glass, will take place from September 13 to 21, 2025. The event reopens under a new evocative title-hashtag: #TheMagicOfGlass. A powerful call to the enchantment and wonder that glass has inspired for centuries. A material shaped by fire, transformed through alchemy into art: every creation is an act of magic suspended between tradition and innovation.

 

Venice Lido Beach Trail
The CMP Venice Lido Beach Trail returns on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Organized by Venicemarathon, the fourth edition of this evocative “trail on the beach” will feature routes immersed in nature among beach, sea, and pine forest. The event headquarters will be set up at the Bluemoon bathing establishment, with sponsor village, start, finish, and post-race services. The route will wind between the beach and pine forest up to the lighthouse. Salone Alto Artigianato
From October 2 to 5, 2025, the Arsenale of Venice will host the third edition of the Salone dell’Alto Artigianato Italiano, an event that celebrates the elegance and refinement of ancient crafts, while also welcoming the enthusiasm and creativity of young artisans representing the future of Italian craftsmanship. Each artisan brings their own cultural identity and regional traditions, offering visitors a fascinating journey through colors and materials from every corner of Italy.

 

69th International Festival of Contemporary Music
Titled La stella dentro (“The star within”), the 69th International Festival of Contemporary Music will be held in Venice from October 11 to 25, directed by Caterina Barbieri. The Festival will explore cosmic music, featuring performances by Moritz Von Oswald, Meredith Monk, Nkisi, Suzanne Ciani with Actress, Ecco2K, William Basinski, and the cult drone metal duo Sunn O))).

 

Veleziana
The Veleziana, the classic regatta organized by the Compagnia della Vela, runs along a route starting in the sea in front of the Venice Lido and ending in the lagoon in front of St. Mark’s Square. Not just a show, but a regatta requiring special tactics as it takes place in very different conditions: moving from sea to lagoon, with its currents, narrow passages, and sudden wind shifts.

 

Venice Cocktail Week
Under the Patronage of the City of Venice and in collaboration with Vela, the Venice Cocktail Week—now in its fourth edition—aims to explore and discover the city through an itinerary winding among hotel bars, cocktail bars, and exclusive venues.
